Elementary School

David Freberg
Elementary School Principal

K-4 through fifth grade are some of the most important years of a child's life. First Assembly Christian School provides a quality education with a strong Christian perspective. Each student is expected to conduct himself according to the highest Christian standards of honesty, integrity, responsibility, and love toward his fellow students and teachers.

FACS features modern classrooms, spacious playgrounds, up-to-date curriculum and equipment. Emphasis is placed on foundational skills in reading, math, language arts, science and history.  Children are also involved in Bible, PE, music, art, library and computer in our beautiful new computer lab featuring a smart board.  Weekly chapel services emphasize spiritual growth and fellowship.

First Assembly Christian Elementary School has traditionally used the A Beka curriculum. With an emphasis on mastery of academic fundamentals and a strong phonics and reading program, ABeka continues to be the foundation of the Elementary School curriculum. ACSI’s Purposeful Design Science, with an emphasis on scientific observation, experimentation, and analysis is provided in grades 1 -5. Some of the other publishers employed are: Positive Action for Christ, Lucy Calkins Units of Study for Writing, Daily Grams, TechnoKids, and Saxon Math (level 5).
Please note: The “cut-off” birth date for Kindergarteners is October 15th.  They have to turn “5” by October 15th.
